March Reading 2011

March has always been very special at Baker. During March we celebrate the joy of reading every day. This year's theme is "Gotta Keep Reading" and that is indeed what we plan to do! We'll read with our families and our friends; we'll share our favorite books and talk about our favorite characters. "And then we'll just keep on reading, and reading, and reading, and reading..." Have a wonderful time!

Families Reading Together

Choose a special time when everyone in your family can read
together without ANY interruptions.
Surround your children with books. Fill a large basket/box with special books
and magazines. The kitchen or another room where the family spends time together
is a great place for the basket.

Connect reading to your daily life. Follow recipes, read labels, signs, and lists; even cereal box can be fun to read.
Have conversations about books.
