The ESL program at JFK provides instruction in the 4 language skill areas - listening, speaking, reading and writing - for children acquiring English as their second (or other) language. From new arrivals just beginning to learn English to advanced English Language Learners expanding their writing and vocabulary skills, the ESL program supports and celebrates multilingualism. Our ESL students hail from such countries as Guatemala, Israel, El Salvador, China, Iran, Mexico, France, Japan and the Dominican Republic.
