Welcome to the John F. Kennedy School! I am both honored and excited to serve as JFK’s assistant principal and to work in partnership with Principal Ron Gimondo, the staff, parents and community to support all students to achieve great success.
At JFK our mission is to provide an engaging and rigorous learning environment that supports all children as they build a strong foundation for learning. We focus on both academic excellence, as well as helping children to develop skills and strategies in the area of social and emotional learning. We also place a strong value on the arts, including visual arts, vocal and instrumental music and the cultural arts.
All of the programs and best practices used at JFK are aligned to support this mission. The administration, staff, parents and community members work collaboratively to ensure that when students graduate from JFK school in fifth grade, they are equipped with the skills, knowledge and strategies that will serve as the foundation for their journey through school and beyond. It is also our goal to instill a sense of passion and joy of learning that will create self-motivated and curious life-long learners. As William Butler Yeats once said, “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.”
Thank you for visiting our website. I hope you enjoy learning more about our school. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
