If your child or a child in the classroom has a life threatening allergy to treenuts, you should avoid these ingredients in the classroom:

  • Chestnuts/Chinquapin
  • Filberts
  • Hazelnuts
  • Gianduja (a creamy mixture of chocolate chopped toasted nuts found in premium or imported chocolate)
  • Ginkgo nuts
  • Ground nuts
  • Hickory nuts
  • Hydrolyzed plant protein
  • Hydrolyzed vegetable protein
  • Litchi/lichee/lychee nut
  • Macadamia nuts
  • Mandelonas
  • Marzipan/almond paste
  • Mixed nuts
  • Nangai nuts
  • Natural nut extract (e.g., almond, walnut)
  • Nougat
  • NuNuts (artificial nuts)
  • Nut butters (e.g., cashew butter, almond butter)
  • Nut oils
