Treenut Allergy
If your child or a child in the classroom has a life threatening allergy to treenuts, you should avoid these ingredients in the classroom:
- Almonds (oil, nut, paste and alcoholic extract)
- Artificial nuts
- Beechnut
- Brazil nuts
- Butternut
- Cashews
- Chestnuts/Chinquapin
- Filberts
- Hazelnuts
- Gianduja (a creamy mixture of chocolate chopped toasted nuts found in premium or imported chocolate)
- Ginkgo nuts
- Ground nuts
- Hickory nuts
- Hydrolyzed plant protein
- Hydrolyzed vegetable protein
- Litchi/lichee/lychee nut
- Macadamia nuts
- Mandelonas
- Marzipan/almond paste
- Mixed nuts
- Nangai nuts
- Natural nut extract (e.g., almond, walnut)
- Nougat
- NuNuts (artificial nuts)
- Nut butters (e.g., cashew butter, almond butter)
- Nut oils
- Nut paste (i.e. almond paste)
- Pecans
- Pesto
- Pili nut
- Pine nuts (pignolia, pinian)
- Pistachios
- Praline
- Shea nut
- Walnuts

- Barbecue sauce
- Beer nuts
- Breading for chicken
- Pancakes
- Meat-free burgers
- Pasta
- Honey
- Fish dishes
- Pie crust
- Mandelonas (peanuts soaked in almond flavoring)
- Mortadella (may contain pistachios)
- Salads and salad dressing
