Welcome!

As a new or recent resident in the Great Neck school district, with or without school-age children, we ask that you please call the district Office of Registration and Attendance, 441-4080, to be placed in the district census. This will ensure that you receive mailings from the Great Neck Public Schools and the Great Neck Library.

You will need to provide us with proof of residency, as required by the Great Neck Board of Education. You will find below examples of the documentation required:

• Deed or
• Closing Statement or
• Current Tax Statement or
• Proprietary Lease (for co-op) or
• Current Lease or
• Rental Statement/Agreement or
• Owner/Lessor Affidavit and Renter/Non-Owner Affidavit of Residency, Signed and Notarized and Certification of Residency

• 3 Pieces of Current Official Mail (i.e. bank statements, credit card statements, income tax returns, insurance bills, medical bills, utility bills, etc.). Please note that only one utility bill will be accepted as proof of residency -- LIPA or Keyspan, not both.

If you have school-age children, you will receive the necessary forms to register them in the Great Neck Public Schools. The Office of Registration and Attendance is open school days, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
