Early childhood is a time for discovery. Children are enthralled with how fast they can run, how high they can jump, and how their bodies move in different directions. Through physical education class, students become more sophisticated in their movements and more coordinated and competent with their physical skills. In this day and age, physical education has taken on a new significance. Quality of life issues such as positive mental health, constructive social relationships, lifelong health, and physical activity have become a focus of the physical education curiculum.
