Math Fair

 

Mission Statement:

The Al Kalfus Long Island Math Fair is a competition for students who work on a specific math project for months. They develop their own ideas about a topic and write a paper. Students give an oral presentation to a panel of judges. Students may work on teams or individually.

Mission Statement:

To give students the opportunity to develop their "math power" - the ability to investigate one topic and then to stand before a group of judges, peers, and parents and defend their work.

Club Goals:

To explore and learn about new math topics.

Main Events:

Nassau Preliminary Round March 7 at Hofstra University. Final round April 4th at Hofstra University.
