"I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship."
Louisa May Alcott
What are your best methods to learn? to do assignments? to study? What skills lead to your success? How can you develop and improve these skills and techniques? learn new methods? How can you become a life-long, independent learner?
Together we will be exploring the answers to these questions and more! We will be filling our "tool bags" with the skills and methods that will lead to our success this year and future years. Working together with peers and teachers, we will learn about ourselves, others, and the world around us. We will develop our critical skills of thinking, listening, speaking, reading, and writing that will help us navigate a variety of assignments and assessments, but most importantly, to weather those storms!
Testing day for the English department is Tuesday, and extra-help will be given after school on Monday. Quizzes and in-class writing assignments will be given on any day.
