What is Naviance Family Connection: South High subscribes to a college and career planning resource called Naviance Family Connection. Students will each receive a personalized access code to access his or her personal password-protected account on the college-planning website where they can keep records of their activities, grades, and college and/or career interests. They are able to compare GPA, SAT & ACT scores, along with other statistics to actual historical data from South High students who have applied in the past. Naviance Family Connection also facilitates communication between counselors and students.

Seniors will receive their personalized access codes in their English classes on Tuesday, 9/22. You may see your guidance counselor for more information.

When you access the program with your personalized access code, you have access to more areas of the site. Students and parents are encouraged to explore the possibilities of this program.

To begin using Family Connection, go to http://connection.naviance.com/gnshs and follow these steps:

• On the home page, enter the code that was printed on your personal access card in the "New User" box and click "Register."
• Fill out the registration page including your e-mail address and private password. At the bottom of the page, check the box that you agree to the terms of use and click "Complete Registration."
