This unique program affords sixth graders a smooth transition from the elementary to the middle school. There are twelve sixth grade homeroom sections that meet daily for homeroom and periods one and two in the same classroom for combined instruction in language arts and reading. Social studies and math are taught in the afternoon by combined instruction teachers. There are two sixth grade teams, consisting of the combined instruction teachers, science teachers, and other support personnel. Meetings are held daily to discuss curriculum goals and to address the needs and concerns of the students.
