Health 6
Health Education 6 is an introductory module designed to encourage students to briefly examine a number of important current issues and topics in Health Education from the perspective of a sixth grader. This two week program will be offered to all sixth grade students.
Health 7
Health Education 7 is a required course for all grade 7 students. This class is two quarters and meets every other day. Grading for both quarters is pass/fail with comments. this is an introduction to Health Education with preliminary information and subject matter. Our focus is mental health, development of a positive self image, healthy relationships and encouraging a healthy attitude.

Health 8
Health Education 8 is a required course for all grade 8 students. This class is two quarters and meets daily. Grading for both quarters is based on an average (number grade) with comments. Our subject matter focuses on the whole person (physical, emotional, mental and social) and the development of a positive self image as the foundation for producing a healthy person. The topics and units are inter-related. The concepts and skills developed during the first two units will be utilized in each subsequent unit. All Health Education Units are interrelated. Knowledge, awareness, understanding, recognition of symptoms and warning signs, lifestyle choices and attitudes are infused into each unit of study. There is a strong emphasis on prevention.
