Spirit Week was a big success! We collected more than 1100 lbs of food for the INN in Hempstead Click here to see the letter that the INN sent to us.
Hot cocoa sales were through the roof! We raised more than $800 over the four days.
Congratulations to seventh grader Alan L. for winning South Middle's Geography Bee. Alan won a gift card to Barnes and Noble. He has also qualified for the state tournament up in Albany. A win there would send him off to Washington, D.C.
Congratulations to Jake D. and Nathan B. for winning the Candy Corn Guessing Contest. Jake won a $20 Best Buy gift card and Nathan one a $15 Best Buy gift card. They each also got to take home half of the candy corn. We were able to raise $104. A check will be donated to the National Down Syndrome Society.
