Author Visit

  • Author and illustrator, Peter Catalanotto, visited the kindergarten, first, and second grades at Baker. Mr. Catalanotto shared many ideas about writing and illustrating with students and staff. One thing we all learned is that even mistakes can help us grow new ideas.

Commerce Plaza Experience for Grade 5

  • Students in grade 5 visited Commerce Plaza, a simulated business community. After being exposed to the basics of economics in the classroom, students spend a full day acting as retail operators, producers of services, and consumers. During their visitation, students work in one of the twelve simulated businesses, take two breaks, receive a paycheck, and have the opportunity to interact with the other businesses.

Grade 5 and Parkville Buddies

  • Fifth graders helping Parkville Students

Fifth grade students visited Parkville School to partner with pre-kindergarten students. They taught their buddies how to play Go Fish and enjoyed getting to know their new friends.
