Digital Video Editing is a course open to seventh and eighth graders who would like to learn more about digital video use within an academic format. It is designed for students who are particularly interested in working on academic computer projects.
Multimedia is an elective course open to seventh and eighth grade students. It is designed for those who are interested in presenting information by utilizing various aspects of computer technology in combination: text, sound, graphics and the Internet. In this class, students work in cooperative work groups on more sophisticated projects, learning and applying aspects of multimedia.
Computer Programming is an introductory course open to seventh and eighth grade students which builds on the programming skills developed in elementary school. It is designed for students who are particularly interested in cooperative projects and programming.
Publishing and the Web
Desktop Publishing is an advanced course open to seventh and eighth graders who would like to learn more about electronic publishing both in its print and online forms. It is designed for students who are particularly interested in working on independent computer projects.
Computer Keyboarding is a course open to seventh and eighth grade students who would like to improve the keyboarding skills they developed in the sixth grade. It is also highly recommended for new entrants who missed the sixth grade unit. In this course, students learn how to touch type using all of their fingers and learn how to use special function keys in order to improve typing speed and accuracy. Students develop and improve the skills using various keyboarding and word processing programs.
