Faculty Recital RESCHEDULED for May 2
The District Faculty Recital, originally scheduled for October 2021, has been rescheduled for Monday, May 2, 2022 at 7pm in the E.M. Baker auditorium. All proceeds benefit student music scholarships.

Deadline to Register for Non-Public School Transportation is April 1
The Great Neck Public Schools offers free transportation for children attending non-public schools who meet walking distance-from-school requirements. The deadline to apply for non-public school transportation for the 2022–23 school year is April 1, as determined by New York State Education Law.

2021-22 NYSSMA Festival
Information regarding the 2021-22 NYSSMA Festival is now available. Please use this link to find required paperwork, the schedule of deadlines to submit forms, performance dates and locations. If you have any questions, please contact your child's music teacher.

Kindergarten & Universal Pre-K (UPK) Registration Remains Open
Kindergarten and UPK registration remains open for the 2022–23 school year. All registration applications are now processed online.
KindergartenAll children who will attend public or private school kindergarten in Sept. 2022 must be registered. Any child who legally resides within the school district and will be 5 years old on or before Dec. 1, 2022, is eligible for kindergarten.
Universal Pre-KUPK is a half-day program offered to residents at no cost; a supplemental half-day, tuition-based enrichment program called “Fun For Fours” is also available with limited enrollment. To be enrolled, children must be 4 years old by Dec. 1, 2022.

Eight Finalists for New Faces Awards
Five students from North High and three students from South High are among 30 finalists from the Greater New York Area to be honored by The Broadway Education Alliance as finalists for the second annual New Faces Award, part of the Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance.

The Broadway Education Alliance has announced Owen Roubeni and Chantal Sadighpour as semi-finalists for Best Actor and Best Actress Awards in a Musical, part of the Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance.

Board Commends South Middle Students
On May 10, the Board of Education recognized 116 South Middle students for contributing to the quality of life at Great Neck South Middle School.

South High Senior Awarded Corporate-Sponsored Merit Scholarship
Jeremy Kotlyar, a senior at South High, is the recipient of a National Merit Scholarship sponsored by Colgate-Palmolive. This award is one of approximately 1,000 corporate-sponsored scholarships through the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSP).

South High One-Act Festival
South High School will proudly present a One-Act Play Festival on May 5–6 and May 12–13, featuring six plays directed by Theatre South seniors. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium, 341 Lakeville Rd.
