Students at Parkville have a variety of opportunities to engage in computer programming with hands-on experiences. Students learn coding and computational problem solving strategies while programming age appropriate robots. In addition, students are introduced to software programs that help kids refine their design, logic, and problem-solving abilities.
Bee-Bot Robots: Students learn fundamental coding concepts while completing programming challenges with the bee-bots.
Code-a-Pillar: Kindergarten and prekindergarten students are introduced to coding while mixing up segments and putting them back together to program Code-a-pillar.
Coji the Emoji Robot: Students are introduced to coding through sending emoji messages to Coji using the iPads.
Code.Org: Students participate in this worldwide coding event to solve grade appropriate challenges.
