Kindergarten Curriculum Highlights

    Kindergarten Science

    The following is a list of some of the scientific concepts that will be covered during Kindergarten.


    1.    Pushes and Pulls:

    Kindergarten scientists will plan and conduct investigations to compare the effects of different strengths or different directions of pushes and pulls on the motion of an object. Students will learn how the forces of gravity and friction are forces that are encountered in every day life.


    2.    Weather and Climate:

    Our young Weather Watchers will engage in activities to gain greater understanding that weather is a combination of different factors including temperature, precipitation, cloud cover, and the amount of sunlight in the environment where they live.


    3.   Plants and Animals:

     Students will will learn that plants and animals are interdependent. Students will learn: How animals obtain food to live and grow, ways that animals use natural resources for shelter, and observe life cycle of a plant.
