Elizabeth M. Baker Elementary School

We are proud to be a Teachers College Reading and Writing Project School. The mission of the TCRWP is to help students become avid and skilled readers, writers, and inquirers. Our literacy curriculum uses the workshop model, performance assessments, and learning progressions to accelerate progress. Through teacher-directed mini lessons, students learn a skill or strategy together, and then have opportunities to apply that to their individual “just right” books or individual writing.
