Continuity of Instruction Plan
Continuity of Instruction
A school's Continuity of Instruction Plan is a proactive approach that provides students with instruction, learning resources, and other educational materials in the instance a school district closes for a period of time (i.e.; extreme weather, facility/building issues, state of emergencies as declared by local and federal authorities, etc.). We recognize that no plan can replicate the outstanding education that normally occurs within the walls of the John F. Kennedy School each day. Our comprehensive plan focuses on ensuring that all students have access to applicable learning materials to best support and hone their academic skills during an unforeseen period of school closure.
If there is a need for us to implement our Continuity of Instruction Plan, all JFK families will be notified via our mass email system, known as Parent Link. Applicable updates will be listed on our school/district website as well. If this plan goes into effect, above you will be able to view your child's specific grade-level educational plan, as well as additional online and/or downloadable resources and materials to continue education at home. Additionally, your child's teacher will be in contact through various modes of communication during periods of school closure (normal school working hours) with class-specific directions and/or comments.
