Global 1&2

Global history is usually taken in sequential order of 9th and 10th grade. This in depth exposure to world history lays the foundational skills for future history courses. Students enrolled in these courses gain an understanding of various factors that affect the global community across time and in numerous geographic regions. Our task will be to explain how and why events unfold and analyze their impact on the world today. Lessons are aligned with the NYS Social Studies Framework Standards while building literacy skills through primary and secondary source analysis. Students engage in full class, small group, and independent activities that assess their knowledge of the material. Global 2 culminates in a Regents exam, which is a graduation requirement.
