Earth Science

In this full year Regents Science class students will learn about the physical environment through class discussions and laboratory work.  We will begin by learning about the Earth and how we define locations.  Building on this knowledge students will learn about topography and landscapes and how the Earth is an ever changing planet.  These changes can be subtle or catastrophic as we will learn in the topic of plate tectonics.  The atmospheric conditions also play a role in weather and climate.  When students have gain an understanding of our complex planet we will look further into space.  Delving into our final topic, Astronomy.
