• WW2 Literature

The literature for this course is deliberately selected to include the perspective of several geographical groups that suffered and/or witnessed the atrocities that occurred during WW2.  There are both fictional accounts based on history such as the Lithuanian experience in Between Shades of Gray as well as non-fictional accounts such as that of Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel’s account in Night.

Students are expected to not only discuss and research the substance of each novel but to focus on the literary devices that the authors use to create their works.
