Great Neck Public Schools
SCHOOL REOPENING 2021-2022
The district continues to prioritize the health and well-being of our entire community as we enter the second school year operating under special guidelines due to COVID-19. Health and education experts strongly recommend daily, in-person learning and teaching to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth. We plan to welcome all students back to the classroom in September while implementing the latest guidelines from the Centers for Disease Controls and Prevention (CDC).
Information about COVID-19 remains fluid and the district will continue to rely on data and recommendations from the Governor's Office, county and state Departments of Health, the New York State Education Department (NYSED), and the CDC to ensure a safe school environment. Revisions will be made as necessary, and updates will be shared with the community.
