Ms. Ilana Meredith

Ms. Ilana Meredith

Ilana Meredith is a graduate of N.Y.U, Tisch School of the Art’s BFA Drama Program, where she studied at CAP21 (Musical Theatre), The Classical Studio, and the Experimental Theatre Wing. She performed for over six years in regional theatres, summer stock, and touring companies. In 2011, she received her Masters Degree in Theatre Education at The City College of NY. She has taught drama and directed theatre productions in schools in Brooklyn and Westchester, NY. Most notably, for six months she taught acting to children and directed a production of “Seussical” in Seoul, South Korea. On her time off from teaching, Ms. Meredith enjoys taking classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade (improv and sketch writing), The Barrow Group Acting School, and clown / commedia at The Funny School of Good Acting.  

At Great Neck, she teaches Drama, Improv, Public Speaking, and is the arts component of the SATIS Senior Program. She has directed the Junior Players theatre productions of How to Succeed in Business (Without Really Trying), Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost, The Threepenny OperaThe Man Who Came To Dinner, and the 2016 Rep Theatre one-acts titled Trapped. She has also been advisor to the newly formed Improv Club, which had its first show in May of 2017. As of the fall 2017, she is working on her fifth main stage production, Twelve Angry Jurors
