Reading Week 2018
This year's Reading Week theme, "Books Arrrr a Treasure", was very exciting. Our author/illustrator visits from Chris Soentpiet and Alyssa Satin Capucilli were amazing! They taught us all a great deal how to come up with great writing ideas and how illustrations are important in telling a story. Students and staff made pirate hats, created individual pirate names, and read books to add coins to our pirate map (the treasure was at the end!!). We read books to our buddies, had mystery pirate readers come in, and of course, had our annual pajama day!
