Keeping Kids with Food Allergies Safe in our Schools

The Great Neck Public Schools' Food Allergy Committee for Tolerance (FACT) is committed to keeping kids with mild to severe food allergies and kids with life threatening medical conditions associated with food, safe in our schools*. We strive to raise awareness and promote tolerance toward food allergies through education and advocacy.

Food allergies can be life threatening. The risk of accidental exposure to foods can be reduced in the school setting when schools work with students, parents and physicians to minimize risks and provide a safe educational environment for food-allergic students.

* The Great Neck School District is NOT peanut-free.
