Mrs. Courtney Knacke
Courtney Knacke graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a concentration in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland in 2005 - go Terps! She went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Science Education from Hofstra University in 2006 and holds NYS certifications in Biology and Chemistry. Mrs. Knacke began her teaching career at Great Neck North High School in 2007, and in her time there has taught AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, Regents Biology and a variety of science elective courses. She is a former lacrosse, cheerleading and volleyball coach and earned Volleyball Coach of the Year in Conference A-III in 2011. She is currently the co-coordinator of the staff Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
When Mrs. Knacke is not in the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children and coaching her son’s PAL lacrosse team. She can often be found on her Peloton bike, riding with her #peloterps.
