The mission of the Great Neck Public Schools Instructional Technology Program is to enhance and support instruction and learning with information and communications technology. It is our belief that a 21st Century education spanning elementary, middle, and high school requires an electronic learning device as a central educational tool for all subjects and curriculum areas. Our philosophy is that technology integration should be a pervasive, seamless, collaborative, and transparent part of both instruction and learning.

Toward that end, we have implemented technology committees, wireless networks, technical support, student technology leadership, alternative furniture with digital workflow, app standardization, and professional development support systems to facilitate modern classroom learning environments that actively engage and inspire our students and staff. The centerpiece of this vision is our 1:1 iPad Program that currently spans Grades PK-12, but our focus is not on the technology but rather on the people who power the devices and programs. In the right-hand column, you will find links to specific information about our 1:1 iPad Program at the district and school levels. If you have any questions about this program, feel free to e-mail them to Justin Lander, District Technology Director.
