New York State Desha's Law
Our district is committed to the health and safety of all students, staff, and visitors. In accordance with New York State’s Desha’s Law, the district has implemented a Cardiac Emergency Response Plan (CERP) to ensure a prompt and effective response to sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).
This plan includes clear emergency procedures, accessible and properly maintained Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), staff training on recognizing and responding to cardiac emergencies, and coordination with local emergency medical services. These measures help ensure that our schools are prepared to respond quickly and effectively in the event of a cardiac emergency.
