The Great Neck Public Schools Business Office provides fiscal management and administrative services for each of the schools and departments throughout the District. This oversight includes most non-instructional functions such as: budgeting, audit administration, accounting, payroll, purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, asset management, capital projects, buildings and grounds, transportation and food service.

Additionally, the Great Neck Public Schools contracts with an external (independent) auditor, an internal controls auditor, and a claims auditor to review District financial practices and protocols, fiscal records, and all payments made by the District. Each of these auditors provide regular reports directly to the Great Neck Public Schools Board of Education. The District has had a long history of prudent fiscal practices, which consistently earns the District an “Aaa” credit rating from Moody's Investors Service.
