District Safety Plan
The Districtwide Safety Plan provides a comprehensive overview of District strategies to support the safety of students, staff, and the entire school community. The GNPS Districtwide Safety Team reviews and updates the Districtwide Safety Plan annually. A draft of the plan is made available for public review each summer and community input is encouraged during a Public Hearing in August. As required by New York SAVE Legislation, the final plan is submitted to the State by October 1.
In addition to the Districtwide Safety Plan, each school building maintains its own individual Safety Plan that outlines specific emergency procedures. In accordance with State law, building-level safety plans are not available to the public.
