The Great Neck Public Schools' Instructional Technology program empowers students and educators to use technology thoughtfully, creatively, and responsibly to enhance teaching and learning. Our goal is to ensure that technology is not simply available, but meaningfully integrated into instruction in ways that promote collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, communication, and authentic problem-solving while preparing students for success in an increasingly digital world.

A secure, reliable, and high-performance technology infrastructure provides students and staff with seamless access to digital learning resources, cloud-based collaboration tools, and instructional applications from virtually any learning environment. Every classroom is equipped with modern instructional technology that supports engaging, interactive learning experiences, while districtwide systems ensure safe, equitable, and dependable access for all users.

Through our comprehensive 1:1 iPad program, every student has access to a personal learning device that supports instruction both in and beyond the classroom. Technology is integrated across all grade levels and subject areas, allowing students to create, collaborate, communicate, research, and demonstrate their learning in meaningful ways. Students also develop essential digital citizenship skills beginning in the elementary grades, learning to navigate online spaces safely, ethically, and responsibly while building a positive digital footprint.

At the secondary level, students have opportunities to further expand their technology skills through coursework and extracurricular programs in areas such as computer science, coding, robotics, engineering, multimedia production, digital design, business technology, and other emerging technologies. These experiences help prepare students for college, careers, and lifelong learning in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Technology integration is supported by dedicated instructional technology staff developers who partner with teachers to design engaging learning experiences, implement emerging technologies, and provide ongoing professional learning. Through collaborative planning, coaching, and school-based technology leadership, our educators continually refine instructional practices to ensure technology is used purposefully to improve student outcomes.
