Great Neck uses the Infinite Campus student information system and makes the Campus Parent Portal available to authorized parents/guardians so that they can securely access student information about their children online. The information we make available includes:

• Messages (district and school announcements)
• Calendar (including assignments)
• Progress Reports (secondary only)
• Report Cards
• NYS Assessment Results (in ELA and Math, Grades 3-8)
• Regents Exam Results (secondary only)
• Attendance (real-time)
• Student Schedules
• Health (Immunization Records)
• Transportation (Bus Numbers, Stops, and Times)
• Fees (PSAT and AP exam payments)
• Athletic Profile (high school)
• Campus Backpack (for archived report cards, HS transcripts, and other student documents)

Google Classroom provides a solution for extending classes beyond the four walls of the classroom. Teachers create Google Classrooms for each of their course sections and invite students to join the virtual classroom. In this online environment, students and teachers engage in a digital workflow. Assignments can be digitally copied, distributed, completed, submitted, and graded through Google Classroom. Teachers can post links to presentations, websites, screencasts, and videos, flipping the classroom to provide remote instruction. Parents can choose to receive Guardian Summaries, which are daily or weekly email updates of assignments and missed work. MySchoolBucks (MSB) is a secure online payment service that provides a quick and easy way to add money to your student’s meal account. This service allows you to deposit money directly into your child’s meal account and view balance and purchase information for the past ninety days. Use this link, https://www.myschoolbucks.com/ver2/getmain?requestAction=home,  to log in or to create a family account.
 There are two payment options using MSB:

1. ONEPAY Savings Pass – offers a one-time annual fee option to SAVE YOU MONEY!

OnePay is an annual savings pass that offers a reduced program fee when using MSB and allows you to pay only the program fee of $26.95 per family upfront from your bank account with unlimited payments for 12 months.

If this is your first meal payment:

1. Log into your MSB account
2. Click "Meal Accounts" then select "Make a Payment"
3. Select Pay-as-you-go or OnePay Membership for eChecks

If you want to switch from Pay-as-you-go to OnePay for eChecks:

1. Log into your MSB Account
2. Click on the person icon in the upper right corner then select "My User Profile"
3. Under "My Memberships" click "Update Membership"
4. Select OnePay Membership for eChecks

2. Pay per transaction – The fee for each deposit transaction is $3.25. The maximum deposit for this fee is $120.

The Great Neck Public Schools uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.

Here’s what you can do with ParentSquare:

• Receive messages from the school via email, text or app notification 

• Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6pm 

• Communicate in your preferred language

• Direct message teachers and staff

• Participate in group messages

• Sign up for parent-teacher conferences

Our district offers a 1:1 iPad program beginning in Prekindergarten and extending until students graduate from high school. Typically,  students begin bringing the device home with them each day in third grade. In school, the iPads facilitate digital workflows and provide students access to a wealth of curated online resources and learning platforms. To support parents when the devices are at home, the school district offers ScreenGuide, which is a platform that allows parents to set restrictions on the school device while it is at home.
