    The New York Blood Center will be hosting the Spring Blood
    Drive in the West Gym this Friday, April 12th. Donors must be
    16 or older, with 16 year old students needing to fill out a
    permission form. Registration and permission forms are
    available on the Class Connect Google classroom. Please
    consider donating to save lives! 

    QR codes on posters around the school have been updated for ease of use.

                                   

    South High Music presents this year’s opera, LA BOHEME,this
    Friday and Saturday at 7:00 PM. Tickets are on sale through Mr.
    Schwartz in room 309. Come and support all of our
    participating students and hear some of the most beautiful
    music ever written.

    Mr. Schwartz has the rating sheets for NYSSMA Piano. See him
    in room 309 to pick up your rating sheet.

                                   

    Congratulations to the Girls’ Badminton team yesterday on an outstanding 7-0 win to Syosset
    yesterday!
    The team is now 5 and 0 in Conference 1.
    Kayla Wu, Hannah Cheng and Bernice Wong all won in two games in singles
    And all of the doubles team won as well.
    Emma Ding and Eva Westbay represented us at 1st doubles
    Adora and Akira Cho at second doubles
    Kary Wong and Katherine Cheung at 3rd and Michelle Ye and Jessica Jacob at 4th doubles.
    We are proud of them! Please come by the East Gym to see them play Mepham at
    approximately 5:00pm tomorrow!

                                   

    The Great Neck South High School Rebel Robotics Team is collecting all eclipse glasses to ship to
    needy students in South America for their upcoming eclipse later in the year. Before you throw
    out your eclipse glasses, please send them to Rebel Robotics using one of the following
    methods:
    Drop off at South High in the box by the robotics team trailer
    Drop off at South High in the box by the front doors of the school
    Thank you all in advance for participating in this important initiative so others can experience
    an eclipse safely!!

                                   

    Yesterday the boys track and field team defeated Roslyn, Carey, and
    Sewanaka to improve their record to 5 wins against zero losses. The
    team scored in every event except for pole vault. Daniel Ma and
    Andrew Lee went one-two in the intermediate hurdles and Will Ouyang
    and Perry Sgantzos went one-two in the shot and discus. James Klein
    won both the 100 and 200 meters, while Max Wang took the 400. Jay
    Du-Shane won the mile, Jared Korn the half-mile, and Josh Chang the
    two-mile.
    The team has a home meet tomorrow against Great Neck North. Come
    down and support the team.
