Great Neck Public Schools Community Education will be offering a Spring 2024 Driver Education Program for a limited number of students. Students must have a valid New York State Learner’s Permit at the time of registration. The program will begin on February 5, 2024 and end on June 18, 2024. The cost for each student will be $655. All participants must reside in the Great Neck School District.
The Theory portion of the classes will be offered once a week on Tuesdays at North High School or Wednesdays at South High School. Driving will be offered Monday – Friday, with cars leaving from both North High School (Mon-Thurs) and South High School (Tues-Fri). Students will be required to attend both the Theory class and the In-Car Driving at their home school. Registrations will be accepted into the program according to the following guidelines:
1. Priority registration is given to eligible students in 12th grade as of September 2023 (Class of 2024) with a completed application received by December 11, 2023, in the order received.
2. Eligible students with a completed application in the order received.
Attendance is mandatory.
