The Great Neck Public Schools Board of Education, upon recommendation from Superintendent Dr. Kenneth R. Bossert, recently granted tenure to 32 teachers and one administrator. Over the course of two public meetings in June, Board trustees and district administrators joined with the candidates’ gathered families and friends to acknowledge, celebrate, and applaud their accomplishments.

Tenure recipients from the district’s secondary schools were recognized on June 4, and elementary school recipients were recognized on June 17. Administrators spoke on behalf of the candidates they recommended for tenure, expressing common themes: candidates are passionate about their work, they bring out the best in their students, they engage their students and help them to love to learn.
