Four South High students holding certificates from the New York State HOSA competition

 

Students from the Great Neck South High School Pre-med/HOSA club achieved remarkable success at the New York State HOSA-Future Health Professionals Spring Leadership Conference in April and will advance to the International Leadership Conference next month.

Award winners are: Ashley Nguyen, Barbara James Service Gold Award winner, Health Informatics, Medical Law and Ethics; Yatong Duan, Barbara James Service Bronze Award recipient; Victoria Wang, Barbara James Service Bronze Award recipient; Khloe Chang, Healthcare Issues Exam; and Joanna Huang (not pictured), Pharmacology. Based on their performance at the State Conference, these dedicated students have qualified for the prestigious International Leadership Conference in Nashville this June.

The South High Pre-med/HOSA club, boasting 94 enthusiastic participants, competes in various healthcare testing programs, showcasing their skills and knowledge in the field of health sciences. The faculty advisor is Holly Cipriano, science teacher.
