The Great Neck Public Schools Adult Learning Center (ALC) held its 53rd annual Graduation and Awards Ceremony on June 10. Board of Education trustees, program and district administrators, faculty members, and elected officials were on hand to celebrate with graduates and their proud families.
Honorees at the 2026 ALC Awards Ceremony included 17 graduates who earned New York State High School Equivalency Diplomas, 16 students who met NYS benchmarks for English language proficiency, 15 students who demonstrated a commitment to learning through outstanding attendance, and 17 students who received teacher recognition awards.
The ALC provides a variety of educational opportunities for adults to improve basic skills, earn a High School Equivalency Diploma, prepare for US citizenship exams, or learn English as a New Language. Classes are offered during daytime and evening hours to meet the needs of adult learners. The program administrator is Dr. Errin Hatwood. For more information, visit the ALC webpage.
