Gabby Kishinevsky, a kindergarten teacher at the John F. Kennedy Elementary School, has been honored as a recipient of the 2026 NASTAR Award. This award was presented at the eighth annual Nassau Association of School Technologists (NASTECH) NASTAR Celebration on June 11.

Mrs. Kishinevsky was nominated by Dr. Justin Lander, district director of technology, for her thoughtful balance of digital and non-digital learning activities, leaning on platforms like Seesaw to create engaging activities, IXL to provide individualized support, and Google Slides to create custom-made digital libraries.

“Her work exemplifies the best of what instructional technology can offer in the hands of a caring, skilled, and collaborative educator,” says Dr. Lander.

The Nassau BOCES NASTECH Service created the Nassau Association of School Technologists Award Recipient (NASTAR) awards to honor individuals for innovation, leadership, and support of technology initiatives in their school district.
