Students from the South High School Pre-med/HOSA club achieved remarkable success at the 2026 HOSA-Future Health Professionals Spring Leadership Conference and qualified for the prestigious International Leadership Conference in June.

Award recipients from the New York HOSA Spring Leadership Conference are: Kevin Lin, gold medal, Dental Terminology; Nianqiao Zhu, silver medal, Dental Terminology; Alicia You, bronze medal, Health Informatics; Daisy (Yatong) Duan, bronze medal, Health Career Display; and Peishan Luo, bronze medal, Health Career Display.

Additionally, Daisy and Peishan qualified for the Barbara James Service Award, which recognizes individual HOSA members and future health professionals who have contributed significant hours towards volunteer work and service to the community.

HOSA-Future Health Professionals empowers future health professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience. The South High Pre-med/HOSA cub is led by faculty advisor Holly Cipriano.
