Administrators from the Great Neck Public Schools congratulate Village Principal Steve Goldberg at a recent CAS awards dinner

Steve Goldberg, principal of the Village School and SEAL program, has been honored by the Council of Administrators and Supervisors (CAS) as a 2026 Administrator of the Year. He was presented the award at a CAS ceremony on March 25.

Mr. Goldberg will retire this June after 30 years in the Great Neck Public Schools. He joined the district as an English teacher, and he has served as the leader of Village School for the past 23 years. He was nominated for this award by his fellow Great Neck administrators, Dr. Alison Brennan, executive director of pupil personnel services, and Ron Gimondo, principal of John F. Kennedy Elementary School.

“Steve has devoted his entire professional career to this community and he has a deeply held belief that every student deserves a place where they can feel safe and succeed,” said Dr. Brennan in her remarks at the CAS awards dinner. “His work has transformed lives and exemplifies the very best of educational leadership.”
