At a Glance
The Adult Learning Center offers a range of educational opportunities designed to help adults
earn a New York State high school equivalency diploma, prepare for college, or learn English as
a Second Language (ESL).
We offer both daytime and evening classes to accommodate your schedule and meet your
learning needs.
The Adult Learning Center includes two core programs:
English as a Second Language (ESL) Program
We offer a wide range of English-language classes, from beginning literacy to advanced ESL.
Students are required to attend a minimum of three class sessions per week. Classes are offered
on the following schedules:
Daytime: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
Saturday classes are also available for additional support
High School Equivalency (GED) Program
This program prepares students to take the GED exam, with classes focused on improving skills
in math, reading, science, social studies, and writing.
Classes are available six days and four evenings each week to provide flexible options for adult
learners.
