English as a Second Language and GED Preparation Program
If you are an adult and want to improve your English-language skill, or earn a high school equivalency diploma, the Great Neck Public Schools Adult Learning Center offers a variety of classes during the day and evening designed to meet your needs. Our school also has available a variety of elective courses for those who qualify. Our counselors are available to provide a full array of college, vocational, and career services. 

Student Eligibility:
• All students must have the goal to either enter college or pursue a career.
• Students 21 years of age or older who do not have a high school diploma or the equivalent by any state or territory of the United States.
• Students 16-20 years of age who do not have a high school diploma or the equivalent

Summer Program

If you are an adult and want to improve your English-language skills, or earn a high school equivalency diploma, the Great Neck Public Schools Adult Learning Center offers a variety of summer classes during the day and evening designed to meet your needs. Eligible participants include individuals 18 years of age or older, who do not have a U.S. high school diploma or equivalent and those with diplomas or degrees outside the United States.

Classes Meet:
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Student Eligibility:
The summer classes meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9 a.m. to noon and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Students are required to attend all class sessions.
All students must have as a goal to enter college or career training.
Students 21 years of age or older who do not have a high school diploma or the equivalent by any state or territory of the United States.
