GNPS/TV Wins National Awards

Great Neck Public Schools Television (GNPS/TV) is the proud recipient of two national awards through the Alliance for Community Media (ACM) 2015 Hometown Media Awards.

The Hometown Media Awards is a national awards program that recognizes outstanding community media and local cable programs that are distributed on Public, Educational, and Governmental access cable television channels. Nearly one thousand entries are submitted each year.

South High School’s Opera The Magic Flute received the award for Local Performance. “Four Score” is a short film about The Gettysburg Address commissioned by then-Superintendent, Dr. Thomas Dolan. The film, by GNPS/TV staff and students, won Best Original Drama/Comedy.
