June 2026 Programming

This past March, the Great Neck South High School Music Department continued
the school’s 56-year opera tradition with a production The Tales of Hoffmann by Jacques
Offenbach. Tune in to GNPS/TV to watch our talented students perform this popular opera
in French (with English supertitles), accompanied by an orchestra of students and faculty.
South High Opera airs at 7 a.m., and 12 and 5 p.m.

District Spotlight features recent events and activities throughout the Great Neck
Public Schools, including the North High pep rally, highlights from the North Middle
performance of Peter Pan, a Musical Adventure, a visit from New York State
Commissioner of Education Dr. Betty A. Rosa, and more. District Spotlight airs at 9:30
a.m., and 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.

The annual Cultural Heritage Celebration at South Middle brings together students,
faculty, and families for an evening of delicious food and exciting performances
representing countries around the world. Enjoy colorful dances and presentations from
different cultures within the school community. South Middle Cultural Heritage
Celebration airs at 10:30 a.m., and 3:30 and 8:30 p.m.
