In this section of Global Studies, students learn about significant historical events from the dawn of the earliest civilizations through the Age of Exploration. Students will acquire skills in regards to identifying the differences between primary and secondary sources, identifying specific historical author biases, analyzing the causes and effects of societal changes over time (including cultural, societal, and political changes). All lesson plans and activities align with the New York State Social Studies Framework and the skills that are required to perform well on the New York State Regents Exam that will be administered during the students sophomore year of high school.
