A hands-on course where students are given the opportunity to discover what “seasonal foods” they enjoy and how to bring their favorite recipes to life in the healthiest way possible. We research both ingredients as well as healthy recipes. Students explore how to identify healthy foods, ripe whole foods, seasonal foods etc. They are given regular opportunities to exercise those skills in real life when we food shop and follow recipes by measuring, chopping, dicing, mixing and baking! Finally, students serve their peers and everyone gets to critique the day’s sample.
