Welcome to the North High Guidance website!

Announcements and events are below.  Be sure to check out our class pages for information and forms.

  • PSAT at North High

The PSAT will be administered on Saturday, October 19th here at North High School between the hours of 7:30 AM and approximately 12:00 PM.  All juniors who are considering attending college upon graduation from high school are encouraged to take the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test which serves as practice for the SAT and as a qualifier for National Merit Scholarship consideration.  We want to provide sophomores the opportunity to do so as well; 10th grade students who take the PSAT do so strictly for the experience of taking the test.

Registration for the exam should be done electronically through the Parent Portal.  The fee for the PSAT is $25.00 and payment can be made on-line via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and Discover) or by providing checking account information.

Please be aware that registration for the PSAT is a two-step process.  A payment needs to be made online.  Once a payment is submitted, you will need to print a receipt and bring it to Ms. Zehnder or Ms. Bertorelli in the Guidance Office.  You will then be given a PSAT bulletin, which includes a practice test, and an admission ticket for the exam.  This must be done by Friday, October 4th.

All registered students should report to North High on Saturday, October 19th by 7:30 AM.

Should your child require special testing arrangements because of religious observance, please see Ms. Zehnder in the Guidance Office as soon as possible.  A letter from a clergyman will need to be provided due to a limited number of tests being available for Wednesday testing with priority given to juniors
