South High Seniors Awarded College-Sponsored Merit Scholarships

Recipients of college-sponsored scholarships through the prestigious 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSP) are Alexander Voses, National Merit Boston University Scholarship; Katherine Wang, National Merit Emory University Scholarship; and Andre Lungu, National Merit Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Scholarship.

Jeremy Kotlyar, a senior at South High, is the recipient of a National Merit Scholarship sponsored by Colgate-Palmolive. This award is one of approximately 1,000 corporate-sponsored scholarships through the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSP).

A five-member team from South High School came in second place at the 2022 Long Island Regional High School Science Bowl, hosted virtually by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Laboratory. South High has consistently placed in the top three at this regional event since 2015.
