The South High School chamber music ensemble of Hugh Choi (flute), Sarah Sun (alto saxophone), and Selena Lu (piano) has been invited to perform at the 39th annual Young Musicians Concert of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. The concert will be held at Alice Tully Hall on May 4, and the trio will perform Épitaphe de Jean Harlow, Op. 164, by Charles Koechlin.

Hugh, Sarah, and Selena were selected for this honor based on their performance at the Long Island Regional High School Young Musicians Concert, which was hosted at South High on March 16. The South High ensemble, along with the other chosen ensembles, will receive two coaching sessions by Chamber Music Society artists prior to the Young Musicians Concert.

The Young Musicians Program was created in 1998 and South High has participated nearly every year since its inception. The South High chamber music program is coordinated by Michael Schwartz, performing arts department head/instrumental music teacher, and Dr. Janine Robinson, vocal teacher.
